The photographer posted this photo on January 19, 2020 and mentioned that going early in the morning is best, as you’ll most likely be able to see the trees both with and without fog. The coordinates above are not for the exact tree from the photo, but are close. There will be similar trees all around you.
The hundreds-of-years-old laurel trees in Posto Florestal Fanal are beautiful on a sunny day, but are truly magical to behold when the fog rolls in. Google Map to “Faial Parking”, where you will see a sign that reads “FANAL”. Park in the lot and walk up the hill for about 30 minutes. You will stumble upon the magnificent laurel trees on your right side.
