Description:
The photographer took this photo on August 13, 2021. While she did not note its exact location on the Hall of Moss trail, it is a fairly short trail and you’ll no doubt notice these trees along your way.
Google Map to “Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, Upper Hoh Road, Forks, WA“. This rainforest is located within Olympic National Park, so you will need to pay the $30 / car fee at the toll plaza a few miles before you reach the visitor center, unless you have a National Parks Pass. There is a parking lot at the visitor center, along with restrooms.
Follow the signs for the Hall of Moss loop trail. This is a 1.1-mile, heavily-trafficked, easy loop trail that is partially paved and handicapped-accessible. The moss-covered trees will have you in awe. Be sure to take the 200 ft detour to see the Maple Grove.
